Artificial Turf
Artificial turf on a base that drains
Artificial grass only looks good for years if the base under it drains and stays flat. We dig out, build and compact the base, then lay and edge the turf, from a small side yard to the whole lawn.
Finished artificial turf with a split-face block planter wall at the front steps. Maple Ridge.
- Small to large areas
- Compacted, draining base
- Clean edges against walls, patios and beds
- Turf set into concrete patio joints
What's involved
Removing the old lawn, building and compacting the base, setting edges, laying and seaming the turf, and infill. In wet ground the base depth and drainage matter more than the turf you pick.
From our job sites
Real jobs, including the forms before the pour, which is the part you can't see once the concrete is in.

Common questions
Does artificial turf drain in heavy rain?+
Yes, when the base under it is built to drain. The turf backing is perforated; the base is what carries the water away.
